Design principles

Firechain is a new blockchain protocol that's designed to be a step forward for the future of the internet. We're building a network that's fit for the future, and we're doing it by focusing on the following design principles:

Decentralization

Firechain is designed to be a decentralized network. This means that there is no single point of failure in the network, and no single entity that can control the network. This is a core principle of Firechain, and it's one of the key reasons why we're building a new blockchain protocol. We believe that the future of the internet is decentralized, and we're excited to be a part of that future.

Scalability

We're building the network with a focus on scalability from the ground up. Firechain uses a number of techniques to enable scalability, including account-level sharding, state compression, and account-specific rollups. Firechain enables powerful composability features, and developers can build applications that are broken into components that can function independently and in parallel. This enables developers to build applications that are modular and scalable by design.

Privacy

Firechain is designed to offer strong support for privacy-preserving applications. We're leveraging zero-knowledge proofs to enable privacy-friendly smart contracts and allow users to choose what to share with the world. We believe that privacy is a fundamental human right, and we're committed to building a network that respects that right while remaining transparent and open.

Security

We're leveraging the latest advances in cryptography and security research to ensure that the network is secure and reliable. Firechain is designed to be resistant to a wide range of threats, including both blockchain-specific concerns such as double-spending and 51% attacks, as well as more general threats such as denial-of-service attacks and malicious use. We're committed to building a network that's secure and reliable for the long term, and we'll continue to invest heavily in security-related research and development.

Interoperability

Firechain is designed to work with other networks by supporting a wide range of interoperability features natively. The network supports enables robust, asynchronous external messaging which enables developers to build applications that can seamlessely communicate with exogenous resources without sacrificing on security. We believe that interoperability is central to the future of the internet, and we're excited to be a part of that future.

Community

The Firechain community is the beating heart of the network. We're committed to fostering a community that's inclusive, welcoming, and supportive. We believe in the power of community, and we're excited to see the future the Firechain community will build together.

Transparency

In order to build a successful network, we believe that it's important to be transparent along the way. We're committed to being open about our progress, and we'll continue to share updates about our work as we move forward. We're excited to see what the future holds for Firechain, and we're excited to share that journey with you. We hope you'll join us!
